TIBERI INDUCTED FIRST CLASS INTO OHIO MILITARY HALL OF FAME

July, 2000 - The Honorable Patrick J. Tiberi, Majority Leader and 26th District Representative, presented the first 12 inductees into The Ohio Military Hall Of Fame their Medal for Valor and Certificates of Induction today. This was accomplished by presenting each Inductee with a Certificate from the House of Representatives. The Inductees are but a small representation of those Ohioans who displayed Valor Above and Beyond the call of duty in one of America's wars. The Medal for Valor is awarded to those who have been decorated for Heroism on the battlefield under combat conditions. There are no exceptions.

Today's recipients include the Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, MSG Ronald E. Rosser, Korean War; Distinguished Service Cross Recipient, SGT Dante P. Toneguzzo, WWII; Silver Star Recipient, CWO4 Gilbert H. Bolton, Vietnam; Silver Star Recipient, PFC James F. Dolan, Jr., WWII; Silver Star Recipient, 1LT (Deceased) Chalmers P. Wylie, WWII; Distinguished Flying Cross Recipient, Senior Master Sergeant Terry K. Kerr, Desert Storm; Bronze Star w/V Recipient, MSG Roger J. Holbrook, Vietnam; Bronze Star w/V Recipient, CPL James R. White, Korean War; Bronze Star w/V Recipient, MAJ Robert W. White, Sr., Vietnam; Air Medal w/V Recipient, SGT Edward I. Arthur, Vietnam; Air Medal w/V Recipient, COL James D. Moore, Vietnam; and Navy Commendation Medal w/V Recipient, RD3 George E. Bobb III.

Of significant interest is that 3 of the inductees, Ed Arthur (Age 13) and the Founder of The Ohio Military Hall Of Fame, and the National Vice Commander of The America Veterans Who Enlisted Underage; Jim White (Age 15) is a member; and Bob White (Age 16), is State Commander of The American Veterans Who Enlisted Underage. These veterans served on active duty prior to the age of 17. The Honorable Chalmers P. Wylie continued to serve his country as a prominent United States Congressman from the State of Ohio.

Representative Tiberi added "This group of brave Ohioans exemplify their organization's motto, "All Gave Some, Some Gave All" and reflect highly in the minds and hearts of our Great State of Ohio and our Nation".
